Gatley Carrs

This walk takes under an hour and half and invites you to discover the open spaces of Gately and Gately Carrs – a local wildlife haven. Follow the route to visit the tranquil Walter Stansby Memorial Gardens and Gately Brook before heading into the nature reserve – 25 acres of various habitats from scrub to woodland. The area hosts a range of wildlife, from wild flowers to birds, and has been developed for visitors, with benches throughout.  To complete this walk, you head back through the extensive Hollyhedge Park that features a children’s play area, bowling green and other sports facilities.
