Limehouse Basin

Originally an East London dock, the Limehouse Basin represented a gateway from the Thames to over 2000 miles of canal. Today it is a lovely marina but it has maintained some of it historical features, including the octagonal Accumulator Tower – one of the earliest attempts to harness hydraulic power to the docks. This easily accessible walk offers you the chance to explore the Basin and beyond, with the route also including a walk along the Regent’s Canal and through the 90 acre, Mile End Park.
