Hackney Village
This is a mainly urban walk of under an hour which visits the green, historic, village centre of Hackney, which is adjacent to the main shopping street. The route includes quiet roads, paths, main roads and shops. This walk passes Clapton Square which has a new play area. This walk visits St John-at-Hackney Church and St Augustine’s Church Tower. There is also the option to extend this walk into an excursion to Sutton Place to visit the Grade II listed, Sutton House, which was built in the time of Henry VIII, and then return (open Thurs to Sunday 12:00 -16:30).
