A longer walk along the canal
With a focus on exploring an extended stretch of the Regent’s Canal, this walk takes just over an hour and also offers a glimpse of the East London area of Bethnal Green. Heading down past the Old Ford Lock, you can leave the canal to take a lakeside walk around Victoria Park’s ‘Boating Lake’ before continuing along the towpath. In turning back, this walk leads away from the water to take you past an historic church, whose architect also created no.11 Downing Street, and near the famous V&A Museum of Childhood that originates from the time of the Great Exhibition.
