A short walk from Victoria Square to Peace Gardens and returning via Worcester & Birmingham Canal.

Starting from: Town Hall, Victoria Square

[1] Starting from the (A) Town Hall with your back to Victoria Square walk across towards Fletcher’s Walk Shopping Mall. Walk through the mall via Fletcher’s Walk.

[2] Go straight ahead under ‘Easy Row’ subway and then turn left towards the Mailbox. When you reach Holliday Street., turn right. Continue past Bridge Street and under the pretty railway bridge. Pass Berkley Street, with  the new registry office on your left.

[3] Cross at pedestrian crossing to the other side of the road and continue until you reach Granville Street. and turn left. Follow this road round until you see the tower of the remains of St. Thomas’ Church. Cross and enter the (B) Peace Gardens.

[4} After visiting the gardens,  return to Granville Street. and retrace your steps back to the entrance to the canal towpath on your left. Go down the steps to towpath and then turn left.  Go along the tow path until you reach the ramp on your right to Gas Street and turn right and go up Gas Street.

[5] At Broad Street turn right. Cross Broad Street at the Golden Statues and enter Centenery Square. Cross Centenary Square to the (C) War Memorial and exit.  Cross Paradise Circus Queensway and go straight on to Chamberlain Square. Return to Town hall on right.
