Become a Route Editor
Do you have an eye for detail and an interest in maps? Walking routes are an essential part of the Get Walking Keep Walking project and are used by walking groups in each of our area and appear on the website for everyone to enjoy. The routes which we used are developed and checked by training volunteers and are of a very high quality.
As a Route Editor you will be based in the main Ramblers office in London and will be responsible for maintaining that high quality of the routes by checking the routes which our Route Developers and Checkers create. You will also support the Route Developers and Checkers who work remotely though our Route Database.
Get Walking Keep Walking is a project aimed at people from urban areas who aren’t already active enough for good health. It works to support people walking independently and also signposts them towards other community activity and health promotion programmes such as health walks and local led walks.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided. You can find out more details about the role, the tasks involved and how to apply below.
