The Big WoW
Over 100 children, adults and volunteers braved the chilly Autumn weather to take part in the Olympic-themed Big WoW walking event to launch the Walk Once a Week campaign. Sprinting champion and 1996 Olympic silver medalist, Mark Richardson, was there on the day to inspire participants.
Get Walking Keep Walking East London handed out pedometers to the children who came along and led a walk in the afternoon from Mile End Arena to the London Bridge to hand over the 1948 Olympic torch!
