Get Walking Pack

Update July 13: Get Walking Keep Walking have had to suspend distribution of all Get Walking packs with immediate effect. Due to a huge demand from people keen to Get Walking, we have run out of packs! We hope to have packs available in some areas of England shortly, and a new online version of our 12 week Get Walking plan is in development and is due to go live in late summer. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause.
Getting started walking is as simple as putting on a pair of shoes and stepping out of your front door! But the Get Walking pack will make those first steps even easier. You’ll be surprised how quickly your abilities increase and soon walking will be part of your everyday life.
Important
For most people walking is a safe and effective form of exercise and you can start without checking with a doctor. However, if you’re very unfit, or suffering or recovering from serious illness or have any other concerns about your health, discuss this with your doctor before getting walking. It may be that you need to start more slowly and build up gradually.
