Get Walking Pack

Unfortunately we no longer have funding to provide Get Walking Packs. But anybody can complete our 12 week walking programme online, by registering for My Get Walking.
Getting started walking is as simple as putting on a pair of shoes and stepping out of your front door! But we can help make those first steps even easier. You’ll be surprised how quickly your abilities increase and soon walking will be part of your everyday life.
For most people walking is a safe and effective form of exercise and you can start without checking with a doctor. However, if you’re very unfit, or suffering or recovering from serious illness or have any other concerns about your health, discuss this with your doctor before getting walking. It may be that you need to start more slowly and build up gradually.
