Volunteers Attend First Aid Training
This morning, a group of Get Walking Keep Walking volunteers attended a ‘Save A Life’ first aid training, led by the British Red Cross. The group’s learning included discovering how to respond to the needs of unconscious casualty, CPR and bleeding.
Volunteer, David Bays, commented “Dave Morris was a very experienced ex-London Ambulance Service, now British Red Cross trainer, who took us carefully through 3 procedures and gave us plenty of time to practice ourselves. This will all be very useful when or if we have to use one of them in the future.”
The group were able to practice their newly acquired skills, although hopefully they won’t need to use them too often in reality!
Thank you to the volunteers who attended! – David
