Healthy Hearts for Mosborough Primary School

As part of Mosborough Primary’s Outdoor Learning Week in June, Get Walking Keep Walking went up to the school to take 2 classes of children on an hour long walk around their local area. The children in Mosborough are lucky to live near some beautiful fields, woods and countryside in the Moss Valley.

Here’s what the Year 2 class had to say about the walk:

“Thank you for taking me on a lovely walk. It has helped me get great energy”

“We had lots of fun and we were very happy. It has given me a healthy heart”

“Mrs Taylor did 5,018 steps and the walk was great. My heart was beating away, that was a long walk!”

“Strong bones, healthy body and good fun”

“Be healthy, don’t be lazy. Go out and get some fresh air”

“It was a great walk, the fun part was the Horse part”

“To Ben and Ruth, I really enjoyed the walk apart from my hayfever”

“Dear Ben and Ruth, Y2 enjoyed the walk it made Y2 tired, everyone had their snack and drinks. You made us all healthy and fit. I wish we can do it again. It was nice meeting you , thank you for taking us on the walk. It was so thoughtful of you. I really want to say thank you. It made our blood go round our heart. It is very very healthy and now we are strong. The walk was good, everyone love it and thank you for the treats.”

“Dear Ben and Ruth, thank you for keeping us very healthy and fit, we enjoyed doing the walk and we enjoyed doing the drawings, so thank you”

A big thank you from Ben and Ruth at Get Walking Keep Walking to Year 2 for coming on the walk and all the lovely pictures you have sent in.
