Get Walking is linking up again with Invisible Food for a walk to discover the hidden plants and herbs around Brixton!
Please come along this Sat the 5th of Feb!!

This month, we’re going to beat the winter blues and celebrate the very first signs of Spring with a party in Myatts Field, with some food prepared by Invisible Food participants. You might want to bring extra things to eat and there’s a wonderful cafe for hot drinks and soup.

We’ll walk in any weather so come prepared for the rain and cold. If it your first time, please do give us a call on 07963 446605 to have more of a chat about what’s going to happen. Feedback people give after is often that they’d like more info about what to expect. So Ceri a call!

Start time
11.00am at Loughborough Centre, corner of Barrington Road and Angell Road, SW9 7TP We’ll leave around 11.15am. We’ll arrive in Myatts field park around 12.15 where we’ll be giving away chickweed pesto and pasta to brave hearts who’ve come to the party!

The music in Myatt’s Fields Park kicks off at 1pm with DJ Shefitza spinning Balkan beats and gypsy grooves. Plus we have Zivko Firfov folk dancing group from the former Yugoslavia. At 2.15pm the Harbour Road band will be playing bluegrass, gospel and country.

Please bring some extra food to share . We also need help in the days before the event to collect chickweed and make the pesto in advance. Please get in touch if you’d like to help with that.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

We’ll walk around 1 mile and the route is wheelchair and pushchair accessible.

Call 07963 446605 or mail invisiblefood@gmail.com for further info!
