On 16th March at Balsall Heath Church, Edward Road, Balsall Heath, Get Walking Birmingham staff and volunteers will join Balsall Heath Forum in celebrating International Women’s Day.

International Women’s Day began in 1908 when over 15,000 women marched through New York City to demand shorter working hours, better pay and voting rights. Two years later the idea of an International Women’s Day was suggested at a conference and since then has grown to a day of recognition and celebration across the globe.

At Balsall Heath there will be workshops, presentations and lunch provided as well as entertainment from Sampad South Asian Arts. Why not come and join in?!
